36 weeks and no mucus has come out

My entire pregnancy I’ve had mucus come out everyday and nothing has come out in a week.

I went in to hospital to confirm I’m having contractions (Iam) and Iam dilated to a 1 1/2

Why would I stop having mucus come out?
