38 weeks tomorrow

Just a short vent. I’m 38 weeks tomorrow and so ready to meet our boy. My whole pregnancy was great until 31 weeks when I was told I had a UTI. Unfortunately the antibiotics won’t make it go away until after I give birth because my bladder isn’t fully emptying. Never had a UTI before I had no clue they could make you so sick. At my last appointment I was finally diagnosed with preeclampsia and I say finally because id been telling my doctor something doesn’t feel right. I’m a ftm but I knew either I was being dramatic about my symptoms or my symptoms were not normal due to a gene in my family that triggers preeclampsia and has taken a few lives of the women in my family.

Don’t get me wrong our doctor is amazing but still.

My blood pressure stays in the 140/90 range even if I’m in bed and I always feel like I need to sleep. Not want but need to sleep. At night my belly hurts so much when I move but I have to literally pee every hour so I just hurt all night. When I do use the restroom I need to stand up 5-8 times for a break because I’ll cramp so bad it stops everything. It’s really just a lot at this point. I went from a “model patient” to wtaf??? My body is tired and done. Last week at 37 weeks I was 3cm 60% effaced and my doctor was definitely pleased about that. He wants to induce on August 13th however I hope tomorrow’s appointment he decides it’s good to give the green light.

I’m beyond ready. I used to be terrified of birth and now I would rather just get it done and hold my baby boy. I had to go into L&D because I thought my UTI made it to my kidneys due to my issues using the bathroom and was just so uncomfortable the catheter didn’t faze me a bit. The nurse was kinda weirded out but understood lol. Mama tried. Mama is tired.

Yes that was the short version 🥲
