What experiences have you've had where time apart from your partner make your hearts grow fonder or grow distant

My husband and I have been going at it a lot lately. I’m 7 months pregnant with a high risk baby and the stress about all the decisions we need to make has been getting to us. I love my husband and he is my best friend but he left for two weeks on military orders and it has been the healthiest thing for us. He leaves for work more than I would like but I feel like sometimes the time apart helps both of us to clear our heads and improves our marriage.

I don't even know, I think starting out long distance was/is good for my relationship, but I think closing that gap would be fine when we do. I think we know how to keep the right amount of space and not smother each other. 
I don't think it's time apart. I think it's complex.
You need to both connect with your partner to bond, and to be your own person. Sometimes space helps.

We are only apart for work and it’s generally stressful since travel for work isn’t a great thing. It means long hours and difficult conversations for both of us. We would both prefer to be together each night, and do what we need to to make the money we want to live as we prefer 🤷🏼‍♀️

Back when I was dating my husband in college, we did long distance for 3 years. It sucks but if your heart is in it then you make it work ❤️

I think it does. Idk if it counts (for me I’d say it does) but because of work I only see my SO for about 5 hrs a day M-Sa and only have sundays together. We don’t sleep together because he has to sleep early and get up early (leaves for work at 2am) and we have a 3mo and I don’t want to disturb his sleep. So when he gets home we try to get in us time as well as time with the kiddos before he has to sleep. We tend to miss each other a lot because there never seems to be enough time. It’s going to be worst when I go back to work at the end of the month. I literally will have to stay at work 24hrs at a time…

It does for me and my boyfriend. Two years ago, he was deployed for 11 months and we missed each other like crazy.
