How to prevent baby from getting sick ?

My husband has had a sore throat for 3 days now and I haven’t let him have any contact with baby since and it getting Covid tested tomorrow just to be safe . Iv been so paranoid that I think I’m even starting to feel some dryness in my throat . What else could I do besides avoiding contact and disinfect to keep my baby safe ? Has anyone experienced Covid in their house hold ? My son is 2.5 months old

My husband caught a cold when my baby was barely a month old. I had him do a rapid covid test from cvs, and luckily it was negative. I pretty much just didn’t let him hold him for a few days, but at that point, I was in the middle of mastitis (which lasted 7 weeks), and with a 4 year old, I needed help. I asked him to wash his hands before holding him, and not breathe directly on him. He never got sick. 
I have a sore throat between central valley California allergies and fires, basically all year long, so I’m always paranoid lol.
