is it true you “forget” how bad birth was after a while?

i have a few women at work who some say they forget how bad it was as soon as they hand you your son/daughter, is that true or do you still remember clearly?😬

I honest to God can't even remember what labor with my daughter felt like.  Like I remember it hurt but all the details of how much disappeared when my little girl was put on my chest

I didn’t forget about the pain when they put my kids on my chest like everyone told me I would. I was just more interested in them. Your adrenaline is going pretty hard. But it was still very much there, my oldest is 6 and I still remember it. Not the little details but the overall pain.

I’m 9 and a half months postpartum and remember everything! My daughter is 100% worth it, but it was pretty traumatic and if I think about it I can remember every feeling!

Not really “forget,” more like I felt sooooo fucking amazing immediately after giving birth that I wanted to do the whole thing over again. The high I got from those after-birth hormones were something else. I have 2 kids and my second’s labor hurt so bad, but I’d do it over and over and over again.

Once they put my son on my chest I completely forgot/ was so distracted I didn’t even realize they were stitching my butthole back together.  
You may not forget that pain right away (after birth cramps felt like the beginning of labor for me) but eventually you do and you’re pregnant again lol

I remember ezcatly how bad it was but it all becomes worth it once they place baby on my chest. I never forget the pain... ever.
