Holding baby
Hi mamas,
I'm still learning all of this mama stuff. When I hold my baby, I always support his head, but he's already making a huge effort to hold his head up and move it. He's only 5 weeks old. I will have him snug against me (cradled in my arms or on my chest) and quickly he lifts his head and before I can react, he throws his head to the left or right or forward. Same when his head is over my shoulder (like burping). I don't want him to get hurt and it's giving me some anxiety. I'm worried about brain damage. Will these actions cause brain damage (possibility of whip lash in a little one) or is that a little overboard for me to worry? I just want to make sure he's okay. I want to be a good mom. Please don't make fun of me, I'm just looking for some reinforcement and support, and maybe tips. He's just so darn wiggly already and LONG. He's almost 23 inches.
Thank you ❤️❤️
