Our thrid baby boy finally made his entrance

He finally made it earth side! Born exactly at 5am. After walking around for 3.5 weeks at 4cm dilated, i was SOOOO HAPPY to FINALLY be going into labored. I labored for 14 hours (shortest labor yet) and he came out in 3 pushes during one gnarly contraction. My doctor kept telling me he was going to be a BIG BABY, but he was perfect! 6lbs 8oz. And 20 inches long. He has been latching, which has been amazing for me. My first two NEVER latched so i pumped for them the whole time. The birth went pretty good. I had to make sure to labor in the hospital towards the end since i tested positive for group b strep. I got my 2 rounds of antibiotics in and then had our sweet baby boy 3 hours later. When i got in the hospital, i was at 6cm contracting every 2ish minutes. They moved me to my room and got my antibiotics started asap. 4 hours later, got my 2nd bag in. So now we could really start checking my cervix and get this baby here. After my 2nd round of antibiotics were done, i got checked and qas at 8cm. I let another hour pass and was 9cm. 30 more minutes pass, and im over the contractions and ask them to break my water to get me that last cm i needed to start pushing. They broke my water and my contractions slowed down to 6ish minutes apart. 1 hour later, i was still at 9cm. So after talking with my husbsnd we decided to try some pictoin... that stuff is no joke man. Haha. I got to 10cm 15 minutes after the pictoin was started. In those 15 minutes i ALMOST got an epidural, but then i felt like i needed to push, so we did it. Pushed 3 times during what felt like the worlds longest contraction, and he was out. Skin to skin for 1.5 hours before they weighed him. I think that made a huge difference with being able to latch so quickly. I am one happy momma. And dang it feels good to have a full pee again. This birth was so special to me. It was just me and my husband and the hospital staff. No students training. No mothers or mother in laws hovering. It was amazing and brought us even closer together. Wishing all of you the best deliveries and an amazing first shower after birth ;)
