Has anyone continued formula past 12 ‘months?

Question

Ive been told i can choose to keep my one year old on formula for a bit longer as hes constipated and introducing cow milk could cause issues, or start cow milk and deal with some more issues/constipation but at least hes transitioning.. so im kinda lost what to do and hate that i gotta make this choice myself??. Weird.
Anyone else kept baby on formula past 0-12 months? Anyone continued using enfamil 0-12 months past a year old? 
I know most people transition to cow milk right around age of 1 so its weird to me to continue him on formula but i guess the constipation plays a role. 
Also can someone show me exactly what cow milk im supposed to buy when I DO transition? Sorry first time single mom in a foreign country and have no support

My son was on formula until about 15 months. He is in 99th percentile and was still working on establishing a routine of just solids. So we kept going for a few extra months with toddler formula because I wanted him to have the extra calories. 
As for the kind of milk. You should be giving your 1 year old full fat milk. The fat and cholesterol is necessary for their developing brain. At about 2, you can replace it with a lower fat option. But it doesn’t only have to be milk. They could get what they need from yogurt, butter and cheese. A great alternative is coconut milk. 
For the constipation, try fiber rich foods like beets, pumpkin, sweet potato. Drinking plenty of water and being active also could help.

There are a ton of formulas for 1+ years old. My daughter stayed on it. She could eat dairy but she could drink milk it backed her up so much!  There’s absolutely nothing wrong with staying on formula!
