Breast lump?

So yes I am calling my dr for an appointment but does anyone know anything about lumps in the breast? Like if it’s sore is that a really bad sign? And deep too. When I say lump it’s like ping pong ball size but not round more football shaped if that makes sense. I thought I just had sore boobs during the week before at till I realized it’s not both boobs it’s just one and it has this lump, it’s to the side close to my armpit but deep in the breast tissue. Anyone have any info for me? Tia.

So I have an appointment this afternoon and we’ll see what they say. Fingers crossed it’s nothing serious. Now that I found the lump it seems like it’s more painful than before but I was also pushing on my boob a lot to see if it was really a lump…

They actually say that breast cancer is rarely painful upon discovery. I have a very cystic breasts and those are always quite painful. Hoping that’s what it is. Hang in there.￼

So I had found a lump about a year and a half ago, called for a doc appointment, just told them I have a very large lump and wanted to be seen. They had me get an ultrasound and biopsy which came back as a benign tumor. It started out sore and would hurt pretty bad sometimes but everything is ok now that it’s stopped growing and it’s even shrunk a cm! I go back every 6 months now to make sure all is still well!

So I called my Obgyn and the receptionist seemed annoyed I was interrupting her and gave me a different number to call that’s for radiology. Wtf? Do I just book myself a mammogram? I thought I should see the dr first that if it was nothing to worry about why bother getting scanned? Even more confused now.
