Little one got stung by a wasp last Saturday. Was healing up fine but today looks infected with some bruising/redness in surrounding area. Thoughts? Anybody else have reactions like this

I’d take him in to be sure it didn’t get infected

Draw a circle around it and see if the redness spreads. If it does, it is likely infected and you'll want to see his doctor. Has he been scratching it? My middle son is very bad about scratching bug bites to the point of bleeding and infection. If you see him scratching at it a lot you may want to wrap it up or put him in pants and socks until it heals. That is what I have to do to my 3 y/o when he gets any bites because he will scratch them until they are infected.

Have him take some oral Benadryl and put hydrocortisone cream on it! 
Do NOT use Benadryl cream as a surprising number of people are allergic to the cream!
