NIPT Test wrong ?

Hi ladies,
Has anyone heard of or ever had a NIPT test be wrong? I saw something on YouTube of ONE family who were told they were having a girl but it really was a boy and the lab didn’t have a real explanation as to why the results were wrong. I know they say it’s “99%” accurate… yea yea but mistakes happen 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m just curious if anyone has experienced this or knows someone who has.

I just discussed this with my ultrasound tech today. She said years ago, when the test was new, it RARELY, but had a mistake. She said she has t heard any mistakes in many years (improved tests) 
But she said the test could potentially pick up DNA from a previous pregnancy, since you carry a small bit of your babies DNA in your blood for life! Crazy huh! But it’s really uncommon to get an incorrect gender result. Especially if the test detects boy.
