Scheduled C-Section…What do I need for recovery???

I went in for an ECV this morning and they were unable to turn the baby. I will be getting a call from my on office today with a date for the c section. 
I have never had one before and kind of wondering if there is anything specific I need/should bring from home? 
What do you suggest bringing for clothing?

I only wear pj pants or gowns. Something to go up to my belly button and far away from the incision. I also like the bagginess as I tend to not like anything touching the cut even with all the bandages. Also, take some plain liquid dial soap or have it at home ready to use. It’s the best cleaner and it’s what they recommend. Pat dry ONLY and I like to do that first before my towel gets wet. I also take my boppy pillow so I can hold baby but not have so much pressure on the incision. You won’t bleed as much as a vagina birth but you’ll still bleed a lot so have some pads. Don’t rush sleeping on your belly, it feels really weird the first time lol last thing. TAKE YOUR STOOL SOFTENERS, that first poop is TERRIBLE!

I’m scheduled for one as well, it’s my first. 
I’m bringing nursing pillow, comfy clothes,a night gown and robe for me, and shower stuff!

A good belly binder. The one I got from the hospital last time was pretty uncomfortable in my opinion. Also loose clothing.

I recommend bringing a Boppy. It’s nice to have for support when holding your baby and it made me feel better when I would hold it on my incision if I laughed/coughed/sneezed.

Loose or low sitting pants/ nightgown. Ask them for abdominal binder.

They give you most of what you need. Do bring a nursing bra though.
