Does your toddler snore?

My 2 year old snores,  should I be concerned or is that normal?

If the snoring is while they’re sick and congested, it’s probably not a concern. But if it’s every night even when they’re healthy, you should bring it up with the doctor. My daughter’s pediatrician asks at every appointment if she snores.

Yes and he’s on the waitlist to have his tonsils and adenoids removed in the next couple of months. If the snoring is persistent and/or you notice periods of apnoea (where they stop breathing for a few seconds) I’d recommend seeing an ear nose and throat specialist. I found it really helpful to take a couple of videos of my toddler while he was sleeping as it’s hard to describe and re-create what they’re actually doing when they snore.
Snoring when they are sick/congested is pretty common though.

If it’s loud it could be a tonsil or adenoid problem, I snored my whole life and had my tonsils and adenoids taken out last year. I now sleep silently!

Mine does every now and then and it's very quiet. If yours is snoring every night and loudly I'd tell the pediatrician bc they can have sleep apnea with their tonsils.
