My son will be 2 soon, I was proposed an out of state job that would make it possible to make a much better life for both of my boys as a single mom. My lawyer is confident if he doesn’t agree to my proposal the courts would grant it. I’m working on a proposal now and her suggestions were a week out of the month or 2 4day stretches like Friday to Monday until he starts school (which I may homeschool anyway so we may just be able to continue this schedule.)

I’m curious what others have experienced for out of state custody sharing. His dad currently has 18% so this would go up to 25% and considering lowering child support though it is already “as if” we have 50/50 because I wanted the argument to stop of time vs payment as a motivator. I know it’ll be a strong motivator for him to be agreeable, so considering just lowering it to the minimum costs of travel back and forth. The flights would be 2 hours.
