I start opks on cycle day 8 or 9

Well this month I started on 9 and it was positive. Today on cd 10 it's even darker. Trust the opk or wait?

Thing is, I'm hesitant to trust and stop testing bc I'm on cyclic progesterone so I'm supposed to start that a few dpo, and go til 14 dpo and stop if I'm negative for pregnancy. I don't want to start it early bc I don't want the progesterone to mess with my actual ovulation if this is just a surge and no o. I also don't want to pay for an appointment, lol

Only thing I can think of is:

Wait until I normally have a surge and if I do have another surge (would normally be a few days after this one when I would need progesterone if this was ovulation) then use progesterone as if the 2nd surge was my ovulation and if no surge again start the progesterone?
