Early miscarriage?

My periods have been irregular for little while now so I have trouble figuring out my ovulation time and fertile window. When I do get them they aren’t super heavy. On July 31st and August 2nd I had very light spotting and I thought it could maybe be implantation bleeding. I took a few pregnancy tests but they were negative. So I just figured maybe my period would start soon. On August 21st I started spotting again so I assumed it was my period but the next day it got super heavy really fast. Then a little after midnight I went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was this squishy pink stuff with a bunch of bright red blood everywhere. I was also cramping a lot worse than usual. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and it was an early miscarriage/chemical pregnancy?
