Was it harder to go from 1 to 2 kids or 2 to 3 kids?

I currently have a 3 year old boy and a 16 month old girl and just found out we are pregnant with our 3rd.

I don't think either was harder. I found going from no kids to 1 kid was hardest because you have to learn everything with the first one. I was prepared for 2-3 to be very hard because my middle son has autism but honestly, I didn't find 1-2 or 2-3 very difficult. I already knew everything I needed to know from my first son and since my sons' age gaps are small, everything was still fresh in my mind.
My eldest was 21 months when the second was born. And when my third was born my middle one was 21 months and my eldest was 3.5. If age gaps make a difference.

I think 1-2 was harder, only because my first son was very clingy and found it hard to adjust to the baby. Our third baby is very chill and our older two adapted to her very easily which made things easier for us.

I think the 2-3 is harder because mine are close together. I have a 4.5, 2.5, and 5 week old. Some days I’m crushing it but some days I’m just trying to make it through. Getting 3 kids ready in the morning is hard. Bath time is hard.

1 to 2 was SO HARD for me because I felt guilty. I cried a lot. 2 to 3 was such a breeze!

I don't know about 2-3 since we went from 2 to 4. But the first few weeks of going from 1 to 2 were rough. My 1st was just a few weeks shy of his second birthday when my 2nd was born. He didnt want anything to do with her and every time she cried he cried.
