i know people ask about covid frequently but i had a question about vaccine reaction. An older sister of mine received her Moderna vaccine2 days ago and now her injection sight is red, bumpy and burns just wondering if she should visit the er ? or has this happened to people before and they turn out ok?

Something similar happened when I got mine, except it was my whole upper body. I took some Benadryl and it was gone shortly after that and didn’t come back 🤷🏻‍♀️

Could be a localized reaction which is usually normal. My daughter always gets a red bump after shots. However, if she's worried there is no harm in calling her doctor to reassurance. On the off chance it's an allergic reaction or something else they can help her. But again it's not uncommon for a localized reaction to occur. Will usually go away in a couple days

She might be allergic. I don’t think it warrants a ER visit, but she should probably talk to her doctor.
