Is it too risky to get vaccinated now?

Question

I’m 24 weeks pregnant and wondering if I should get vaccinated now or after the baby is born? I’m just always scared of any vaccinations and previously had gotten Covid twice, and had no symptoms. Obviously it’s not the same now because the immune system is lower in pregnancy... but do you think it’s safe??? Or wait till after birth.

I think you should ask your doctor personally how they feel. Mine is not pushing it due to no long-term studies on it and children after birth.  There are people extremely for it and people extremely

The only reason I’m waiting until after baby’s born is because I had Covid in very early pregnancy and feel weird about exposing baby to both the live virus and the vaccine. I also live in a lower risk area that allows me to take additional social distancing precautions.
If I hadn’t had Covid in pregnancy OR if I lived in a different area, I would have been at least partially vaccinated before my third trimester. Research is showing it’s very safe and effective. Personally, I’d opt for Moderna or possibly Pfizer, but I would not do the Jannsen one.

I just got my first dose a week ago at 27 weeks.  I was always going to get it, but  always wanted to wait until more towards the 3rd trimester.  Everything went great and I only had a sore arm.  I am super glad I got it and feel like I made the best decision for me and my baby, but it is a personal decision.  I suffered with losses and infertility in the past so it was a struggle knowing when the right time for me to do it was.

I think the fact that you need ask if it is safe gives you your answer. Also, you will have natural immunity if you have had it previously. The decision is yours and only you can decide what is right. I personally wouldn't risk it

I got my first at 29 weeks and second at 35 weeks.  My drs highly recommended it. I had no side effects but a sore arm. Id ask your doctor and go from there.  Good luck.

I got both my doses while pregnant and so thankful! There is scientific proof you can pass antibodies from the vaccine through to your baby. My OB recommended it as well.

I have not gotten Covid, but I’m waiting to get the jab, if at all. 
There is data coming out saying that natural immunity protects you more than vaccines do. Definitely worth looking into if you’re on the fence about the Covid vaccine

I'm 25 weeks and will be getting my first dose when I'm 26 weeks in my opinion the pros out weigh the cons 
With my eldest being back at school and restrictions no longer being a thing in the uk my main worry is that he'll bring it home from school and pass it on to me which it turn could end with me or baby not being so well beacuse of it so to have that bit of protection is good enough for me 
Granted I'm petrified I don't like needles and feeling sick (I gave a phobia of feeling sick or being sick) but if feeling ill for a few days helps me have lesser server symptoms if I ever catch covid then in my opinion it's worth it
