Assisted births

Is anyone else having some serious anxiety over the medical interventions that can be used during vaginal deliveries?? Seems they are trending down but episiotomies, vacuum & forceps seem SO barbaric and unnecessary for so many reasons to me 😮‍💨 I am legit losing sleep over preparing to talk to my provider about my fears surrounding these interventions during labor. Am I alone in this?! My next appt is on Thursday.

I have very little fear over giving birth or the pain associated with it. But the thought of being immobilized on a table in an unproductive birthing position (lithotomy) while my baby is cut and yanked out of me is literally panic inducing.

Am I crazy?? Any tips for not sounding like a mad woman when I question my provider on the place these have in birth?
