Looking for advice about illness

I work at a daycare, I have been super sick starting on Monday morning and so they had me take a covid test. The only thing I had then was a headache and a very sore throat.

My covid test came back negative, my strep test came back negative, and so did mono.

I sat in bed from like 4-6 crying because my head hurt so bad I couldn’t even take care of my kids, who were also both crying. I checked my temp and it’s 101.4.

I texted my bosses to let them know and they want time to still come in since the one covid test I took was negative. I swear I have never been this sick and they couldn’t care less because “there’s a lot of people off tomorrow”.

How can I approach this?

Do not go in. Strep, COVID, and RSV are all going around. 1 negative Covid test does not mean you don't have it. Also, you've only had active symptoms for 24 hours, they don't recommend testing really until 72 hours or more because there may not be a high enough viral count for a postive test. It took me almost 2 weeks to get a positive and we knew 100% I had covid because of my exposure level.
