Anyone else hate picking a name?
I’m very excited for this baby but I’ve never been one of those people who envisioned having a family. Until I met my husband I was actually anti-having children - and here we are thinking about boy names for our very planned pregnancy, and all I’ve got is a list of names I don’t like.
My husband is from a very traditional family (his name is John, his sister is Jane) and shares that outlook, plus we have a Polish last name that is tough to pair up. I actually read through a book of 100,000 baby names that was published in 2019 and I didn’t even come up with a list of maybes, and honestly I don’t have any close family relationships I would consider honoring to draw ideas from.
We both agreed we like James, but several of our close friends had boys and named them James recently so I feel like we can’t use it.
How are you picking a name? Any good sites out there where you can do something like input a name and get similar recommendations? I know we’ve got time but I’m worried we’ll be picking something on the spot 🤣
