So I have been talking to this guy for nearly five months now. He wants to make it official. I have told him that I want to focus on work and my self right now and not in a mindset for a relationship. He has tried to convince me that I can focus on myself  and still be in a relationship. He has also told me a few times that he wants to travel overseas with me for his birthday. He sometimes joking says that he will ghost me. Is this a reg flag

Yep!!! He is pressuring you and if that is not what you want then I would take a step back. If he truly wanted to be with you he would not pressure and wait for you unless your feelings are not that way.
