Bf is racist to his own kind

My boyfriend is fully mexican (brown, strong indigenous feautures, came from Mexico) and I am Mex-american (on the lighter spectrum, chicana looking)

I'm very attached to my mexican roots as I am to my American roots. He judges me for listening to our own kind of music , when I bring beautiful artisans when I go on vacation, sometimes my wardrobe is "too mexican" whatever that means. He on the other hand doesn't like listening to mexican music and does everything to stay away from his roots. Which is OK, to each their own.

We were having a conversation about children and he said "I've actually been thinking if I want to have children with you. Imagine our kids looking fully indigenous like those other mexican kids 😒." I responded "that's very racist. You're a brown person yourself." He said "yeah but mixed kids are beautiful. That's why I don't want full mexican kids."

I took that offensive. He has 2 mixed children from a previous relationship and I have 1 daughter who is Mexican American, mexican from both sides. And if he doesn't want to have a child who is not mexican from both sides why is he with me? I had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago so that explains why he didnt really care much when it happened.

Should I leave this relationship? How would you go about this situation?
