Baby name connections

Question ladies: when you’re naming your children, do you connect the names with people you have known with that name in your lifetime? My husband and his father (without discussing it which is crazy) both love the name Kale. The only Kale I’ve ever known was my HS best friends now husband and we had a falling out and haven’t spoken in years. He thinks I’m crazy for feeling odd about naming our son after my old best friends husband. I feel like if she found out I named my son Kale she would feel weird about it since we all used to spend a lot of time together.
