Does anyone else SO not get them birthday presents?

I don’t know why I feel like shit / I should be used to it by now after being together so long. Maybe I’m just being petty. I’m just so mentally exhausted with motherhood it would be nice to feel special for a day but when I think that I feel like I’m just being selfish. Would be nice to know I’m not the only one who doesn’t get more then a “happy birthday”

No wrong for feeling that way! Before I met my husband my ex always mad my birthday special and I did the same for him. Well met my husband and did the same for him, always go all out and make sure he feels loved on his day. But we never do anything for mine, I was hurt the first few years but then just started getting used to it. It still sucks not doing anything but I think this year I'm just going to take my son and we'll go do something on our own, sometimes you gotta create your own happiness.

My husband and I don't do gifts much. But we do spend time together, especially on birthdays. Go get dinner, enjoy each other's time but we also plan that together. 
I don't need gifts to feel special for a day, at least not with my husband. He has making me feel special covered daily.

Neither one of us really give each other gifts for our birthdays- we just go out for birthday dinner and enjoy each other's company. Someone's love for you isn't defined by what they buy for you.

Well ask for him to take the household responsibilities for the day while you go and treat yourself. There is nothing wrong with it. It seems like he isn’t a gift giver so maybe acts of kindness? I’m not a gift giver and neither is my husband so for my birthday he will take care of the household responsibilities and on his I make his favorite dinner and we watch movies. 
Go get lunch, hair or nails done whichever is your fancy and do some shopping. You deserve a break

I don't get anything special, maybe McDonalds, for my birthday. I sometimes buy my husband a present.

He’s gotten me a birthday gift twice in 5 years I believe. He’s not a big gift giver and that’s perfectly fine with me. Though he does try and make the day special, even if that’s just us watching our favorite shows and eating takeout. Not everyone gives gifts, but he should be finding other ways to make the day special.
