Have you left baby over night?

My daughter turned 1 august 14th and my husband booked an over night trip for our anniversary this month and I just don’t feel ready to be away from her that long. I stay home with her so I’ve never left her for more than 4 hours at a time. It just feels so unnatural to leave her. She still depends on me so much and we’re still breastfeeding a few times a day. I’m due with #2 in February and nervous about even leaving her then when we have to go to the hospital. It seems like most of my friends have been fine at a lot younger ages leaving their babies over night and for long periods but it’s a struggle for me. Just wondering if you have left or baby overnight and what your feelings are on it?

I haven’t even gone on a date night, let alone leave my baby overnight. Hahaha Not ready for that at all. 
 Not judging who has left. That’s totally fine. Just saying that you have to respect yourself and your process.

Left our son for the first time just a couple of weeks ago. I also had never left him for more than 4 hours. I was a little nervous but he was staying with my dad so I knew he’d be well looked after. I left a note of his schedule and what he normally eats etc and he was absolutely fine - and so was I. I didn’t realise how much I needed the break until I was away. I should mention that my son is no longer breast fed so that did make it easier

I'm not even considering leaving him overnight yet. I just have no desire! Definitely not judging anyone who has, but I'm no where near ready! We are still nursing also. I've only been away from him a few hours at a time a handful of times and I'm happy with that. Everyone has to do what's best for them and their baby.

I’m due with #2 any day now and I have yet to leave my son anywhere overnight. I’m so nervous and even cry thinking of being away from him for my hospital stay 😂 he’s spent the day with my mom before but as we approach due date he’s been so clingy so I’m not sure how he’s gonna react. My mom will be staying at my house with him and my teenage brother who lives with us will be here so it’ll be a bit comforting but I’ve considered laboring at home just to stay with him 😂

I've left my babe for a one night trip and a two night trip although I left them with my husband so it really wasn't much of a scary thing for me. I've never left my kids overnight with someone that's not my husband yet 😆

We left our little one overnight when he was about 9/10 months old. It was an overdue anniversary trip. He was formula fed so it was nice and easy. My father in law just dropped him off at daycare the next day.

Yup! Left all 3 of my kids (ages 8, 2, 1) for 4 days 3 nights to take my mom to Vegas for her 50th! Was a MUCH needed getaway. They all handled it very well and their paternal grandparents loved the extra bonding time

We’ve left him overnight 3 times. All the times were for 2 nights. One was for a push present weekend, and 2 were me not being able to take care of him due to medical issues and my family stepping up so I could rest. It hurts and I hate it tbh and I miss him, but...it’s kinda nice at the same time. To get to relax and not keep a tiny human alive just for a little bit is nice break. I’m always eager and ready to pick him up but I think he enjoys the break too 😂 
But he was formula fed and didn’t rely on me for food so not sure about that aspect of things. I’m due in a few weeks with #2 and I’m bummed knowing ima miss him, he has a ton of fun spending the night with his great grandma.

Our first was 10mo when he first stayed the weekend at my parents (formula fed). Our second, was 7mo. I was still nursing her and we had a freezer stash, so she took bottles and I pumped and dumped (one night away). Now at ages 3 and 1, they spend the night with my parents often. Early July, they spent 6 nights with them when my husband and I took a road trip camping vacation. I really look forward to the breaks and our kids enjoy being at grandma and grandpas.
