How long after birth was sex painful for you? (Assuming it was at all)

I’m 11 weeks postpartum and we finally had sex for the first time since our daughter’s birth. I knew it could hurt even though I had a c section, especially since I’m breastfeeding, so we used a lot of lube and went slow but even then it was very painful. How long does this normally last?

It was about 6 months before it wasn’t painful anymore

For me it was the first few times. We tried both times right around 6 weeks pp. Definitely take it slow at first. I’d say for me it was better by 9-10 weeks postpartum. We’re usually once a week people so it got better each week. Good luck and congrats on your baby!

I started around 8weeks pp and it was very very painful. (Vaginal birth, 2nd degree tear) I saw a pelvic floor therapist and found out I also had pelvic floor issue. I worked with her for about 6 months and by 9 months PP I had noticed a drastic difference. Things got even better when I stopped breastfeeding at 15 months PP

I think it was close to 6 months for me 😕 I think the main source of discomfort was the scar tissue from the stitches for my first degree labial tears

I’m 4 months pp. We try once a week but it’s still pretty painful. It’s getting better though

My first two babies it hurt the first three times but I was super dry and not really feeling secure desire. I sort of was but not like super floored. 
After my 3rd baby my sex drive was so high the first time we had sex I had so much moisture and it didn't hurt. It was really weird my vaginal muscles seems really relaxed. Once the moisture settled down my muscles went back to normal.
