Carpet shampooing

My fiance is shampooing out carpets today & ive been in the house. We have fans on but the smell is strong… I’m not using the carpet shampooer, I was only vacuuming and then went into our room where he wasn’t shampooing. 31 weeks pregnant but just want to make sure there’s no “rule” to being around the carpet cleaner/smell… it’s a little late now lol but just looking for other’s opinions.
