little spotting with cramps but had sex beforehand

my cycle starts in 4 days but i had some bright red spotting at least twice. i did have unprotected sex 4 days ago. i’m in the process of getting used to sex so it was just an attempt but i know you don’t have to finish to be pregnant. when i first started “spotting” i bleed the next morning after having sex but i figured it was bc of the sex, two days after i was spotting again and now i have light cramps. is this normal? if not should i go doctor? or can i just take a test now?
