Genital herpes and pregnancy

Hi All

This is a topic I find very difficult to talk about but was hoping someone might be happy to share their experience with me as I am going crazy.

Two months ago I had a miscarriage in week 11. A week before it happened I felt very unwell (nearly fainted) and a day after I got brown discharge (spotting) which carried on for 6 days and then I miscaddied.

The day when the spotting started I got an outbreak of genital herpes. I ve been infected for two years.

So my question is could the outbreak have caused the miscarriage?
