Sleepy baby ??

I’m a first time mom and don’t know much about baby sleep schedule, is it normal for baby to sleep a lot during the day but not at night ? I had my baby 4 days ago and that’s all she does . She does have jaundice so idk if that plays a factor to it

Normal!! Babies sleep a lot during the day in the womb because the movement of our body is soothing. It takes a little bit of time for baby to adjust to days/nights once they are born.

Definitely normal. Babies this little also need help linking their sleep cycles because they just don’t know how to do it yet! Set up some positive sleep associations (if you haven’t already) and that should help bub link x

Yes make sure that they are exposed to sunlight during the day example I had my changing table right next to the window so he got the natural sunlight going through… it changes their circadian rhythm for sleep.
