Our dentist and the ADA recommends brushing as soon as teeth erupt and to go ahead and use fluoride toothpaste. We use TOms for Kids with fluoride and only use a rice sized amount since kids can’t spit until around 3.

we started when the first bud came. after every bath, she brushes her teeth with a kid sized toothbrush and we use Toms training toothpaste (less candy tasting than the other brands)she loves it. but i’m sure a day will come when she hates it haha. we also point out every time we brush our teeth if she is nearby so she sees we all do it. she’s very much in a copycat mode right now

Haven't been to the dentist yet, meant to ask the pediatrician last visit and just completely forgot. We're using training toothpaste and toothbrush. I try to make sure the teeth get a little scrubbing but mostly let him hold it and let him move it around and gnaw it. He is up to about 7 teeth.

We use one of those silicone finger brushes. I read somewhere aim for about 5 seconds per tooth. We do it before bedtime and I sing a brushing teeth song I just made up and it gets her to laugh and open her mouth haha

We’ve been brushing since the first tooth popped. My health visitor told us to use normal adult toothpaste rather than kid stuff. It’s an absolute nightmare to do. My son hates it so we try our best but most of the time he just grabs the toothbrush off us and chews on it

I took my daughter to the dentist once she turned 1. Her dentist recommended dry brushing without anything but water. I bought the Dr Browns toothbrush and toothpaste which her dentist was ok with because it’s considered practice toothpaste and all natural.
