Is it time to call dr? Contraction timing

Not painful per say. Cramping and uncomfortable around my lower stomach and back but tightening all over. When I got checked today I was at 3cm and her head was rite there according to my dr. I’ve been having contractions all day but just decided to time them as they didn’t seem super consistent

contractions could be from being checked but i always say it’s best to call. Especially with you being closer to the end and being 3cm!

I would say follow the 5-1-1 rule. Contractions every 5 minutes that last a minute for 1 hour, if it meets those guidelines then I would go in.

You could call! With my second I waited until they were consistently 5 min apart for half an hour to call and my ob told me to monitor for another half an hour and if they stay 5 min to go in! I made it 20 min and they were 3 min apart at that point! So I went to l&d and I was 7cm!

My doctor told me to drink water, take a Tylenol, and get in the bath. If they don’t stop, call! She said this only applies when they are irregular contractions. Hope this helps!!

I wouid definitely call! But make sure try switching positions and drinking water, update us after please!

My first, I called with contractions less than five minutes apart. Nurse asked if I could still walk and talk through contractions. I said yes, and she told me I wasn't ready yet haha I thought she was crazy, but a few hours later I realized what she was describing.
There is no harm in calling to ask. That's what your obgyn team is there for!
