What platforms do you use to find childcare?

Hi All, 
I am in search for childcare as I will be starting a new job soon. I have signed up for an account for care.com, but after paying for a membership- my account was closed, which infuriated the hell out of me bc my money was taken. 
With that being said, what platforms do you use to find childcare? Please let me know.

I think it really depends on what you’re looking for and what you can afford. The average daycare here is roughly $800-1000/mo. At minimum wage here, a nanny would be $2,253. Even at federal minimum wage, a nanny would be $1,256 per month. HOWEVER, most nannies are going for $20-25 per hour. I worked 7 hour days, 4 days a week and I made $3200 per month as a nanny. Granted, I have high qualifications. I really feel like it you can afford a good nanny that will socialize your child and you can pay for a curriculum and activities, a nanny is the way to go and care.com is a great option. A nanny is also not as reliable so I’d recommend you have a flexible position in your career. If you can’t afford a nanny, search childcare in your area and schedule a tour with your favorites.

You can check Yelp or Google for reviews on the childcare facilities. As one said below , do a tour to check out the employees and how things are ran.

I would check local listing in the paper(I check their websites) or word of mouth. Depending on your child's age, check that they have experience with their type of care and maybe do a trial run of having your chosen care provider tend to your child while you do other things around the house (if at home care) or for half a day at their facility. You can show up early and watch from outside to see how things go in there.
With my kids they went to a child daycare that was run by a friend of the family down the street. She'd watched my husband when he was little and she was the perfect fit for our kids as well.
