How long is your newborn awake during day?

Question

I'm a FTM, baby is 13 days old, so far he used to be awake just to eat or when gassy but today he is been awake almost all day, just nap for max 10 min. 
After eating he falls asleep but wakes up 2 minutes after that.
I don't know if he needs something, he can't sleep or if he is just ready to know the world so we can start playing.

Mine LO is about 7 weeks. Is always awake, he’s never acted like a newborn. Eyes wide open all the time. I think he just wants to take it all in and be involved. I have narcolepsy so he and I are not compatible on sleep, figures I would have a baby who doesn’t sleep. Never really fussy or crying, but has to be carried alllllllll the time. Lol.

My 3 week old has been the same the last few days. She went from sleeping nonstop to being awake all day unless I am holding her. She’s not fussy or anything but just wants to be awake 😂 I’m not ready for all this awake time haha

my one month old is awake longer between naps just recently. i would say your baby may need something to help them stay asleep bc at 2 weeks old they should still be mostly sleeping.
