When do you start testing for ovulation after your period??

I am still very confused about this, last month, I ovulated late but still ended up getting my period when Flo said I would. I am very unsure when to start testing, I finished my period on the 11th and am still getting negative ovulation tests, though according to Flo I should ovulate with in these next five day supposedly.

It depends on the length of your cycle but even then everyone is different. 
For example I have a 28-30 day cycle so I’ll start testing on CD11. But if I’m the same as I was when I was trying two years ago I don’t ovulate until around CD20. 
So just keep testing until you get a positive!

For your first few months to establish your trends test every day of your cycle when not on your period. Once you see the climb and peak and taper off you’ll know when you should test. I have a 28-30 day cycle and I test from cd10, I typically ovulate around cd16.
