Is it possible to ovulate 10 days after a d/c?

I had a D/C on September 10th at 8 weeks 6 days pregnant.  I was told to not have sex for 2 weeks. Today I decided to start ovulation testing since I had read that I could possibly ovulate after 14 days.  I used a hpt to see if all the hcg was gone but its positive too. 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ now I dont know which to believe. I know I am definitely not pregnant anymore but I'd like to try again as soon as possible. Has anyone ovulated less than 14 days after a D/C?

From my understanding, a low level of HCG can still trigger a positive ovulation test. For instance, I no longer register on a urine pregnancy test after my miscarriage on 8/20. I had my HCG lab tested on Tuesday of last week which is showing a 12. I took another ovulation test 3 days later and it’s showing peak.
I was also at peak two weeks prior with an OPK when I felt what was ovulation, on both sides within two days. I also bled for nearly 4 weeks.
This is why they say to wait until your first documented cycle, it makes it easier to track. Right now, my suggestion is to just have fun until you either test positive for pregnancy, or you can document a true first cycle and then begin taking OPKs.

You may want to get your levels check. After my miscarriage I kept getting positive pregnancy test. So every week I went to the doctor to ensure that my levels we're going down instead of rising. (They drew blood). So when I got below 5. My doctor said we could start trying again.
