Covid Precautions with a Newborn

What covid precautions did you take for your newborn ? I’m getting pretty scared as cases rise in NY and the different variants surfacing. I have a 7 week old we currently live with my moms family and for the first month of her life everybody that has held her has worn a mask.. Now she’s 7 weeks old and our family is getting pretty comfortable and a little too lax for my liking, especially her dad’s family when we visit them they don’t wear a mask and i kind of feel awkward asking them to put one on because i’m in their house and around their family.. it’s also hard being a young mom(21) other people think they know what’s best or have more experience and tend to be a lot more relaxed around babies these days.. i’m trying to speak up more and be vocal for my daughter and her safety.. I brought her home after a visit today feeling awful, hoping she doesn’t get a cold from being around bigger people germs, it made me feel like i just don’t want her or myself around anyone and i don’t want to keep her from her father’s family but it’s really annoying and awkward to have to be like “wear a mask” you would think people just have common sense but some don’t.. Any suggestions on how to handle situations like these or share personal experiences
