34 weeks and contractions
This has by far been a hard pregnancy! Not only do I have gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes, I started having what I thought was Braxton Hicks Tuesday afternoon. Went to bed that night and barely slept at all, couldn’t get comfortable. I had my regular OB drs appt Wednesday morning at 8am and told him what was going on and he kinda laughed at me and was like yeah that happens, I told him I felt a lot of pressure and they were pretty intense for Braxton Hicks and he just shrugged it off. After my appt I had to go to triage to do a standard NST bc of my hypertension. They hooked me up and immediately noticed I was having real contractions they were 3-4 minutes apart. I friken knew they felt different than Braxton Hicks. Good news is I am not dilating at all. Called my dr and it took two rounds of Terbutaline to get them slowed down. As of today I am still having them sporadically throughout the day. I’m so tired I just want sleep but it’s not happening. I will be delivering at 37 weeks due to the hypertension and diabetes.
Baby is doing great though! He is estimated 5lbs 3oz right now. 💙🤞🏻🙏🏼
