What’s a social worker?

Is that DCYF? I applied for state help & they’re gonna have a social worker call me to go over the application but if that’s involving those people I don’t want it..

Social workers help with so many different things like child disabilities, help with food programs etc. it’s different from child protective services. Social workers are more so assigned to your “case” for assistance in what your looking for. My sister has one for her child’s disability and they also help her with her food stamps and money for other things. They just really look at your income and stuff like that to make sure your not fraudulent on anything.
