First period after birth

EXTREME TMI❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️WARNING

So I had twins August 20th, I bled for gradually 3 weeks. It stopped and now my new period I believe returned 2 days ago. It’s very heavy tho. I mostly take care of my twins alone, plus other household duties so I can easily forget or not get the chance to switch my pads unfortunately. I also have a 2 year old. Is this normal? I think I had this pad on for 6-8 hours tbh. No I didn’t use the bathroom because I didn’t have to go.
