We are so fucked....

We are completely fucked at my job rn. And honestly can't blame anyone. I work at a hospital. I'm a Phlebotomist and we are already underpaid and stressed and the staff are treating us like shit. I have a friend who works with me. His name is Jordan. He has a 2 year old daughter and his baby mama passed away from covid. He works night shift and night shift is the worst shift because they treat them like shit. Like fucking shit. So basically him and 4 other Phlebotomist were exposed to tuberculosis and they didn't know until the supervisor said with absolutely no sympathy "You may have been exposed to tuberculosis. We have a clinic we are allowed to go to and Jordan said he's going when they open at 6. She said "No. You don't get off until 7". He said he has to get his daughter at 7:30 and he won't have a sitter. She was just being really rude and another Phlebotomist said "You may live alone but we have people we have to go home to. Who we can get sick". Supervisor goes "Well ya'll chose to have kids". She said they could go at 6, but didn't put the order. She did that on purpose and had them sitting out there forever. Well basically we have had no night Phlebotomist for 2 days. And it's not like they called in. It was 2 days no call. No show. They are going on strike. Since there's no night Phlebotomist, labs that were from night get sent to morning staff and if they don't finish they get sent to us evening staff and we are extremely understaffed and behind.

@Meh no are fucked because they are gonna start writing us up if we keep turning in lab labels. But when I have like 40 labs to draw by the time it's time for me to leave, I'm not gonna stay an extra 3 hours to do these because they fucked up things with night shift. We are so behind and the patients are suffering. And what happened with the tuberculosis thing got out so now more people are quitting and no one wants to work night shift. So yeah we are fucked. We have all these extra labels to do because they treated night shift like shit. And we can't do them all so they're punishing us.
