What is vaginal discharge supposed to taste like?

I know you don't eat vaginal discharge HAHA, BUT sometimes when I have sex with my partner, after he goes down on me and kisses me I get this weird after taste that I don't like and know I has to be my vaginal discharge. Just to clarify, he doesn't mind it and it doesn't smell bad or itch, but it tastes weird, I don't know how to describe it. It's not sweet nor salty, nor does it taste neutral it's more of a strong taste, but it doesn't hit you right away, it's like an after taste. Does anyone else experience this? What does yours taste like (if you've ever tasted it like I have or other ways). I hope this isn't too weird of a question
