Story time! 🤗

Earlier this year, after I graduated, my youth pastor asked me if I would like to come back the next year as a middle schools youth leader. At first I was hesitant, but then I really felt that it was a great opportunity to serve my church and minister to young girls!

Then this summer at the fair, I kept seeing this one guy that used to go to our church when I was younger (their horse barn at the fair is right next to where we set up our family business). Every year I’d only see him at the fair, but even though I thought he was cute, I’d never talk to him. This year, my cousin joked about setting me up with him, but that’s all it was- a joke.

Then after fair we had our first youth leader meeting and he was there! I’ve been serving alongside him as a youth leader for the past month and we have become friends. He just got back from being at Bible school for two years and decided to come back to our church because his older brothers and grandparents still went here. He is so knowledgeable on the Bible and theology and I look up to him and admire him a lot. He checks all of the boxes of what I look for in a man! I can tell that I already like him, but I know I should probably get to know him better first.

As far as I know, I’m not sure if he likes me. He probably wants to get to know me better before he decides.

I want him to make the first move because I think that guys should be the leader in the relationship (I know that girls are allowed to make the first move as well, but I think from my past experiences, God is telling me I need to wait for a man to pursue me), I would just say I need some advice and encouragement for remaining patient.
