Is preeclampsia only related to high blood pressure?

I'm wondering if you can have preeclampsia with low blood pressure? I'm 29 weeks and also have protein in my urine. Very worried as I've been getting awful headaches daily wondering if this could be early preeclampsia.

Yes yes yes. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise! I had preeclampsia that was undiagnosed for a long time because my blood pressure was never high. I started losing my vision and getting headaches, gaining 3-4 lbs a NIGHT, but because I had no protein in my urine and normal bp they told me I was fine. I went into labor and delivery and convinced them to do some blood tests and they found out I did have preeclampsia. I don't want to scare you, but it was awful. My delivery left me paralyzed in the legs. My daughter turned blue after she was born. It absolutely can happen and if you suspect you have it, listen to your body and demand to be taken seriously.

Usually preeclampsia is associated with high blood pressure. Is your blood sugar low? Possibly diabetic ? My midwife said that protein in urine can be normal during pregnancy due to increased discharge and not always preeclampsia. How often is your blood pressure low? I would bring this up to your dr just to make sure your blood sugar is not low
