Would it be inappropriate to try to share my experience to try to help her?

I’m 20, and have a little sister who is 16. When I was 15-newly 16, I was sexually harassed. He forced fingering me and I had to legit push him off. I still think about it but I do a lot better. Today, my little sister told me that someone who she thought was a friend at work forced a kiss on her. She is really upset. I was going to share a tinyy glimpse of what happened to me to try to say like “it is hard at first but it does get better” type of thing. Obviously not the details, but to just tell her I have been through something similar so I sort of understand. She was so young at the time that all she knew was that my parents wouldn’t allow the “guy” and I to contact each other anymore so she has no idea
