Booster scheduled this month, but just had covid?

Question

I’m googling and I’m not sure what the answer is. My bf is fully vaccinated and caught a breakthrough COVID case via a delta outbreak at work. Tested positive September 26 I think. I used to hear you weren’t supposed to get a dose within 3 months of having COVID. Does anyone know if he shouldn’t get the booster?
*not looking for a vaccine debate. I’m not a conspiracy theorist

I'm not sure. They just started rolling out boosters here in my state for the elderly and those with severe preexisting conditions. Not sure if your boyfriend has any, but I would have him call his doctor and ask. They may have him wait a couple months. I know here it was recommended to wait at least 3 months after covid infection to get the initial shot
