Heartbeat

I don't really know where elese to post as I haven't publicly announced my pregnancy yet so here I am....I had my first ultrasound Thursday the 14th and they said everything was measuring exactly as it should be baby was growing great and I was exactly where I was supposed to be 8 weeks 5days but they couldn't find the baby's heartbeat....they only did an abdominal ultrasound and I have a flipped or tilted uterus I have never had a abdominal ultrasound done before 10weeks or so. He said he is giving my body 2 weeks to "do what it should" then he's going to do another ultrasound and then a D&C. I haven't had any bleeding or spotting,no cramping or anything so I guess what I'm here for is has anyone else had any experience like this?? I have had a total of 8 miscarriages and know what to look for and expect but pretty much all of them my body rejected the baby before it could fully implant due to health issues I have but this time the baby is growing,implanted where it should be and everything is fine but there's no heartbeat....I could really use some help here because I feel fine and still feel VERY PREGNANT!!
