Can you be around hamsters or cats when preggers?

Hi I’ve ready that you can’t be around hamsters or cats when pregant but I have to either have my cat or a hamster in my room what if I don’t go no wher near the hamster would that be fine in my room?

You just shouldn’t change cat litter. Cats are fine. Their poop if their outdoor cats is not good

I'm fine being around my cats and I have my husband in charge of changing the cat litter.

Wear a mask and gloves, and wash up after cleaning or changing litter and bedding. I changed my cats litter during my entire pregnancy with no issues. I didn’t even know the hamster thing and was playing with my sister in laws hamster several times. I always washed my hands but that’s because I was worried about the bedding.

Just wash your hands after doing anything with the hamster, you’ll be fine.
